Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate for this position has a master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling or other mental health related field, plus two years relevant experience. Must be credentialed or have an Associate License in Washington State as a Mental Health Counselor, Social Worker, or Marriage and Family Therapist. Must have experience in the provision of mental health services to children. Experience working within the school system is desired, but not mandatory. Provides screening, assessment, and mental health treatment of referred students and their families. Coordinates services and student needs with school personnel. Must be able to drive a car and have proof of auto insurance. Services are provided primarily at school sites. Occasional outreach services may be necessary. The number of hours will vary from week to week dependent on the school district's calendar, the referrals made by school counselors and administrators, and the ability of the therapist to successfully engage referred students/families into services. The ability to negotiate steps, and visual and auditory acuity are necessary to perform the essential functions of this position. Responsibilities Works with students to develop thorough clinical assessments of need and treatment goals. Provides consultation and education to school staff and community providers in mental health related issues to address identified student and system needs. Manages all required paperwork and records and prepares documentation (forms, reports, etc.) when needed Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and all company policies. Qualifications Mental Health Professional (Master's degree in a mental health related field and two years clinical mental health experience supervised by an MHP) preferred. BA + 3 years of experience working in other youth systems (ie: schools, juvenile justice, CPS, ABA) will be considered. Minimum education and experience as specified in the job description. Current mental health credential from the state Department of Health (DOH) or is eligible for the DOH Agency Affiliated Counselor credential. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Excellent computer and Microsoft Office skills. Excellent mental health knowledge and skills. Knowledge of community resources. Unrestricted driver's license, clean driving record, reliable transportation, and valid automobile insurance.#LI-JG1
