About the PositionThe HIM Lead performs a variety of clerical and administrative functions to maintain clinical records, process release of information requests and assure department quality conformance in keeping with relevant WACs, RCWs, and other regulations and agency policies. Effectively maintains, organizes, processes and controls the flow of paper clinical documents within the department. Accurately and efficiently scans and indexes clinical documents according to prescribed indexing and scanning processes. Processes release of information requests according to regulatory and agency standards and within prescribed timelines. Provides exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers. Accesses electronic databases and software applications necessary to complete daily tasks. Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. Position Requirements
High School graduate.
RHIT Certification preferred
4-5 years' experience working in the healthcare environment required.
Previous HIM experience and expertise in HIPPA preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIESTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Computer skills in Microsoft Office and client databases preferred
