The role you’ll contribute:
The Imaging Services Coordinator organizes the workflow of AdventHealth Carrollwood Imaging Services and reviews the various service areas to gain and improve efficiency. Assists with checking in patients and resolves front-line service issues. Provides general support to the department's Director, Manager, PACS Administrator, Radiologist and front-line staff.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Coordinates work-flow for all radiology modalities, including continuous review of: patient wait times, patient satisfaction and communication with radiologists.
Ensures accuracy of scheduled appointments and monitors proper outpatient preparation are made for radiographic tests.
Schedules all special procedures with physicians and physician office staff by phone and fax method.
Scrutinizes the tentative schedules and contacts Modality Leader, Lead Nurse, Admissions, radiologists, etc. and reviews other information that affects administration of schedule.
Appropriately consults with Director, Lead RN, Radiologist and Modality Leaders regarding schedule conflicts, concerns or requests that fall outside of established policy. Seeks input from Modality Leaders regarding scheduling constraints and preferences of equipment, and implants, etc. Flags all special needs.
Calls designated departments with information for add-on cases if patients are not yet admitted to the hospital. Prepares and sends reservations for each case scheduled to designated departments within established timeframes.
Monitors, provides feedback, develops and implements process improvement workflow per Director approval.
Assists Radiology Director, Manager, Supervisor, Leads and Staff Members with projects and duties as needed.
Provides front-desk support to minimize wait times and to satisfy customer service issues by assisting with checking-in patients and resolving front-line service issues.
Perform records release of radiology films and reports to patients or other medical facilities
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Two years of Radiology services or equivalent medical office experience
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
· Current American Heart Association BLS certificate or RQI upon hire, then renewed quarterly following the RQI protocol
