The incumbent is assigned as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). This duty assignment requires initiative on behalf of the incumbent and the ability to prioritize tasks without immediate supervision. The position requires extensive work with Veterans diagnosed with mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The Veterans will receive a variety of evidence-based therapeutic services such as individual, family, and group psychotherapies, case management and service coordination. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
