The Greater Los Angeles VA Healthcare Network is recruiting for a Supervisory Social Worker within the Community Engagement & Reintegration Service (CERS), for the Veteran Justice Outreach (VJO) program, located in the Los Angeles Ambulatory Care Clinic (LAACC). The Supervisory Social Worker is responsible for the professional and administrative management of the Veterans Justice Outreach Program (VJP) within Community Engagement and Reintegration Services (CERS). The major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assumes the supervisory and administrative responsibility for the assigned VJP staff within CERS; Supervises a group of employees performing work at various GS levels up to their own grade and provides administrative, technical, and clinical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit; Evaluates subordinate's performance and offers instruction, advice, or counseling on clinical and administrative matters; Attempts to resolve complaints from employees and will refer grievances or unresolved complaints using the proper procedures; Performs program coordination duties as appropriate and/or requested by the Section Chief.
