The Senior Social Worker within VAMC Lebanon practices within the Behavioral Health and Sciences clinical setting. One position is located within our main facility and the other is located at the Willow Street CBOC. The incumbent provides mental health services to our nations Veteran population. The incumbent performs specialized treatment of complex physical and mental illness for Veterans in the BH&S clinical settings within Lebanon's VA Community Clinics. Services are primarily provided within the outpatient clinics, but may also involve providing care in outpatient medicine, surgery, mental health, neurology, rehabilitation medicine, geriatrics, Domicillary, Emergency Department and Vet Centers. Major duties include, but may not be limited to: triage, same-day access to mental health care, evaluation and psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and coordination of care for patients referred by Primary Care providers, providing individual and group psychotherapy, consultation with other program areas and staff as appropriate. Incumbent is able to provide advanced level case management interventions used in the treatment of Veterans with serious medical and psychiatric disorders, including those in need of intensive substance use disorders treatment. May perform other duties as directed. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm. May change based off needs of the facility.
