The New Mexico Veterans Affairs Health Care System (NMVAHCS) is recruiting for 1 Psychology Program Manager (Outpatient Mental Health Care). The incumbent has overall responsibility for the operation and management of Outpatient Mental Health (OMH) programs at NMVAHCS all of which are programs designed to deliver specialized, complex, highly professional services that are important program components of the facility and that significantly impact the health care provided to Veterans. Major duties include, but are not limited to: Preforms evaluations for trainees. Ensures efficient operation of the organizational unit. Provides direct or indirect (through subordinate supervision) administrative and professional supervision of subordinates. Exercises wide latitude and independent judgment when making decisions. Consults with medical center staff on a wide variety of patient care issues. Provides a full range of psychodiagnostic services to Veterans at the tertiary care facility including assessment and using the most appropriate psychotherapeutic techniques in providing quality care.
