This position provides direction and oversight of the Behavioral Health Unit. The position requires a leader with vision, initiative, strategic thinking, strong relationship-building skills and a record of making a decisive impact. The Director of Behavioral Health is a high visibility, high impact, leadership role. The Director will lead and orchestrate the development, supervision and evaluation of service line administrative and operational activities. The Director will enhance, implement, and oversee a strategy and process that is data driven, evidence based, team oriented, patient centered and collaborative with Medical Staff, with the objective of improving the outcomes of patient care delivery and reducing costs. As a nursing director this associate is responsible for promoting Shared Governance, nursing recruitment and retention, and the clinical and professional development of associates. The Behavioral Health Director is responsible for coordinating activities of the Behavioral Health Unit working with the medical staff promoting collaboration of nursing, administration and the medical staff for optimal program development, improved market share, and excellent patient outcomes. This Director works with other members of the CLA leadership team to reach goal of excellence in Service, Clinical Quality, Community Value, and Business Literacy. Position is responsible for budgeting and monitoring all personnel, supplies, and equipment.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required, Master's Degree preferred
RN with a minimum of five years Behavioral Health Experience. Three years of Leadership Experience preferred
Licensed by the state of Louisiana as a Registered Nurse
Current CPI or certification within 90 days of employment
