Evaluates, directs, plans, and provides Occupational Therapy treatment for patients of all ages with a wide variety of disabilities to help them achieve a maximum level of functional independence. Documents patient care and results of treatment appropriately in the medical report to comply with policies and procedures of the department and regulatory agencies.
Reports directly to the Supervisor of Rehabilitation or the Senior Outpatient Therapist.

Demonstrated ability to comprehend, speak, and write the English language.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Graduate of an AOTA accredited school of OT with a Bachelor's or Master's degree required.
License certified as an Occupational Therapist by AOTCB or eligible for licensure in
Minimum of 2 years experience preferred (new graduates excepted).
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Required to perform medium daily work with sporadic heavy lifting, as this is a direct
patient care position. Must be able to climb (especially stairs and ramps) and
guard/assist patients while climbing stairs/ramps. Other physical abilities that are
fingering, talking, and hearing. Must have good depth perception to adequately perform
Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in patient's rooms, therapy gyms, occasionally in patient's home, and in the community. Must be able to work with electrical equipment
such as kitchen appliances and splinting/casting equipment, modality equipment. May be exposed to environmental hazards, infectious diseases, chemical agents (see MSDS),
sharp objects, fluctuating noise levels, disagreeable odors, frequent interruptions, and
agitated or emotionally distraught patients and families.
