Residential Treatment: PRN Activities Therapist:
Palmetto Pee Dee Behavioral Health is a 59-bed behavioral health facility located in Florence, SC, offering adolescent behavioral health programs and treatment services to males and females ages 7-21. We are currently looking for a PRN Inpatient Activities Therapist/Recreation Therapist to join our team of dedicated professionals. The Activities Therapist is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating therapeutic recreation programs for residents. Activities include sports, trips, dramatics, social activities, and arts/crafts. The Activities Therapist may assess a patient condition and recommend appropriate recreational activity.
Participate as an active member of weekly treatment team meetings. Confer with members of treatment team to plan and evaluate therapy programs.
Instruct residents in activities and techniques, such as sports, dance, music, art or relaxation techniques, designed to meet their specific physical or psychological needs.
Create activity instructions/plans for direct care staff to ensure residents participation in activities when Activities Therapist is not present.
Complete activity notes weekly; review with clinical director.
Manage activity expenses; report expenses monthly to clinical director.
