Texoma Medical Center, a 403-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. Provides support involving multiple quantifiable elements for functions in Quality Management. Assists in abstracting information from various sources, including written and electronic. Ensures the accuracy and integrity of data while transferring the data into information.Â Â Â Coordinates the flow of information between Quality andÂ Administration, the Board of Directors, Central Physician Services, Medical Staff and other departments/committees both internal and external.Â The administrative assistant also performs duties as the registration/front desk supervisor and organizes and prepares work schedules for registrars to ensure that the front desk is staffed all days and nights.Â As the registration/front desk supervisor they ensure that the registrars are accurately completing the admission procedure, appropriately interactingÂ with visitors, and following the proper protocol for answering calls, triaging and directing inquiry and referral calls.
The administrative assistant/registrar/front desk supervisor ensures that the registrars: - Maintain visitor log book. - Maintain confidentiality by verifying visitor/caller is on patient form. - Maintain daily census report by updatingÂ admissions, discharges, LOS, MD, and source of funding. - Break down patients charts in a timely manner. - Complete audit on every patient discharge. - Copy IP charts and fax summary of care within 24 hours of discharge.
