The Director of Clinical Services directs and manages an effective organization-wide clinical service delivery system; develops implements, and supervises a quality social services program and other clinical services for psychiatric patients and their families, spouse, significant other; to serve asÂ a member of interdisciplinary team supporting the organizationâ€™s treatment program and philosophy and assures the deliverance of quality treatment to psychiatric and/or chemically dependent patients and their families
Â Responsibilities include:
Identifies and oversees the development of the programs and clinical services necessary to meet key mental health and substance abuse treatment needs of the community in keeping with the organizationâ€™s philosophy and goals; meets regularly with key staff to ascertain community needs and concerns; meets regularly with clinical managers to discuss program development and modification of programs to meet changing needs; involvement in community agencies that target mental health needs/concerns
Monitors, evaluates, and modifies the clinical programs, utilizing the input and skills of the organization â€˜s clinical management team; review QI reports, results of patient satisfaction surveys, results of patient outcome studies to modify clinical programming ; meets regularly with clinical managers and department heads to evaluate effectiveness of programming
Maintains a highly interactive relationship with the facility administrator and management team to assure the development and expansion of the organizationâ€™s services and carry out related assignments as needed (e.g., speaking engagements, workshopsâ€¦)
Supervises Social Services and Adjunctive Therapies to ensure effective utilization of clinical employees across services, including: (a) selection and orientation of staff; (b) scheduling employees; (c) identifying and addressing training needs (including direct provision of in-service training; (d) implementing a system of on-going employee performance monitoring, feedback, reinforcement, and intervention
Supervises the provision of clinical services including but not limited to the following:Â completion of psychosocial assessments, individualized treatment plans and discharge plans as well as delivery of group, individual and family counseling in accordance with applicable Brentwood Policy and Procedures.Â
Regularly attends treatment team meetings to provide social work perspective to total case management of the patient by discussing progress notes from charts and communicating any state or local agency requirement for case management with the interdisciplinary teamÂ
Management responsibilities: Carries out the personnel management activities associated with direct staff supervision, including screening and selection, orientation training and development, performance management, and employee relations functions; Reviews/revise job description prior to reviewing applicantsâ€™ qualifications; follows policy in interviewing candidates, avoiding inappropriate questions;
