Alabama Clinical Schools has been a behavioral healthcare provider in the Birmingham area for over 20 years.Â Our treatment services range from intensive residential treatment for males ages 9-18 to therapeutic foster care for males and females of all ages.Â Our RISE and Specialized Therapeutic Foster Care programs for boys are the only programs of their kind in the State of Alabama.Â Our mission is simple:Â to enrich lives of at risk youth and their families by delivering quality behavioral and educational services while fostering a safe transition to the community.
We are currently seeking energetic and dynamic applicants to join our team as Case Worker for our Foster Care Program.Â The Case Worker supports and consults with Therapeutic Foster Care parents, families, and other treatment team members, and coordinates and links children and their families with needed agency and/or community services. Â
Visits foster home to meet with foster parents
Provides weekly face-to-face contact with each child in caseload in order to build relationships, allow the child the opportunity to communicate special concerns, to make direct assessment of the child's progress, and to monitor for safety
Collaborates with the DHR caseworker in establishing regular contact and visitation between children and their parents, other family members, and significant others, as specified in the family's ISP.Â Involves the child's parents in treatment team meetings, plans, and decisions and keeps them informed of the child's progress in the program Provide mentoring and support of child's educational progress as identified on his IEP.
Documents progress and any identified problems in maintaining family connections and reports this information to the family's DHR caseworker
Requires proper, timely and accurate documents and reports, and timely submission and filing of documentation Â
