The VA Medical Center in Manchester NH is seeking an experienced psychiatrist for theManchester NHMental Health Clinic. Responsibilities include psychiatric evaluation and treatment, consultation with multidisciplinary teams, initiation of mental health and substance abuse treatment as well as development of treatment plans in a variety of settings. Must be available for back-up consultation for Mental Health on-call providers. Primary site of assignment of duties within the Mental Health outpatientclinic. Positions have a key role in a multi-disciplinary team with seasoned and dedicated MH clinicians within specialty Mental Health Clinics. In addition the applicant selected for this position will provide back up to Urgent Care and Mental Health clinics for mental health related walk in traffic. The ideal candidate for this position will possess (or be willing to obtain) Suboxone certification.
Work Schedule: The primary work schedule is 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed.
Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
Completion of a first-year residency, or its equivalent, approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which it was completed.
Proficiency in spoken and written English.
